The Sugar Beach Resort is set in a 20-acre tropical park located on the west coast of Mauritius about 35km from the capital city, Port Louis. The resorts location on a kilometre long beach and serene surroundings make it an ideal choice for those looking for a relaxing holiday.
The accommodation comprises of 170 rooms housed in the manor house or the villas, 66 Beach Villas on the beachfront and 2 deluxe suites located by the sea with just a few coconut trees between them and the beach. There is plenty to keep you entertained during the day, a wide variety of complimentary water sports available on the beach as well a range of land sports including croquet, badminton and mini-football. Horseback outings are offered at an extra charge, there are also ponies available for the younger guests. La Rhumerie is a great place to relax in true colonial style, with a small, cosy lounge and old-fashioned gramophone playing soft music, it is a haven of peace and quiet, elegance and serenity.

The resorts main dining room is a colonial style restaurant furnished with mosaic and wrought iron tables which overlooks the swimming pool. Breakfast is a lavish buffet offering cereals, omelettes, pancakes and fresh pastries. Lunch is a casual affair while evenings offer table d'hote menus to themed dinners.

Overhanging the swimming pool and facing the sea, the Plantation Bar is a favourite hang-out among guests. At lunchtime snacks, pizzas and salads are served but the venue comes alive in the evening when the flood-lit pool becomes the focal point for the resorts floor shows.
